On January 6, Baidu’s subsidiary, RoboTaxi, officially received a fully autonomous testing permit from the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), becoming the first and currently only platform authorized to conduct fully autonomous testing in Dubai. This paves the way for RoboTaxi to launch fully autonomous commercial operations in the first quarter of 2026.According to plans, Luobo Kuaibao’s fully autonomous vehicle fleet in the Dubai region will expand to over 1,000 vehicles.
