Hengrui Medicine announced that its subsidiary, Suzhou Shengdia Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has received notification from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approving the market launch of Rilafup α Injection, a Class 1 innovative drug independently developed by the company. This drug is indicated for use in combination with fluorouracil and platinum-based agents for the first-line treatment of locally advanced unresectable, recurrent, or metastatic gastric and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma that has tested positive for PD-L1 through validated assays. According to our research, no similar products have been approved for marketing domestically or internationally. To date, cumulative R&D investment in projects related to Rilafup α Injection has reached approximately 711 million yuan.
