Ministry of Commerce: We will work to expand the scope of the catalog of repair services in comprehensive bonded zones and accelerate the replication and promotion of these measures to other areas, such as pilot free trade zones.
On January 8, the Ministry of Commerce held a regular press conference. Ministry spokesperson He Yadong announced that the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the General Administration of Customs had recently issued the “Announcement by the Ministry of Commerce and Other Departments on the Publication of the Fourth Batch of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone Repair Product Catalog,” marking a policy breakthrough in the business model for bonded maintenance services. This allows enterprises within comprehensive bonded zones to conduct bonded maintenance services for self-produced and exported mechanical and electrical products under the "both ends outside" model, without being restricted by the comprehensive bonded zone maintenance product catalog or the catalog of prohibited imported used mechanical and electrical products. This measure significantly addresses the after-sales maintenance needs of domestic manufacturers for products sold overseas, helping to stabilize and enhance the level of enterprises’ production and supply chains. Moving forward, the Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to continue promoting the standardized and healthy development of bonded maintenance services across multiple levels and sectors. It will expand the scope of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone Maintenance Product Catalog and accelerate the replication and promotion of these measures to other areas, such as pilot free trade zones, to further support new forms of foreign trade and high-quality trade development.
