Svmuu News: The World Gold Council reported that as gold prices hit record highs 53 times in 2025, global investors poured unprecedented amounts of capital into gold ETFs. North American funds accounted for the bulk of global inflows in 2025. Meanwhile, gold holdings in Asia nearly doubled, and Europe also saw significant demand. Global investors’ surging enthusiasm was primarily driven by the following factors: (1) Against a backdrop of intensifying global trade disputes, escalating geopolitical tensions, and financial market volatility, gold’s appeal as a safe-haven asset has increased; (2) The sustained surge in gold prices has attracted trend-following capital; (3) Falling U.S. Treasury yields and a weaker U.S. dollar.
