S.Finance is a decentralized stablecoin trading protocol built on Ethereum, designed to optimize exchange efficiency among multiple stablecoins. Its native governance token, SFG (S.Finance Governance Token), is used for community governance voting. The project officially launched on September 21, 2020.
SFG Tokenomics
SFG is an ERC-20 standard token with a total and maximum supply of 21 million. According to its initial design, all tokens are generated through liquidity mining, with no pre-mine or private sale allocation. The daily issuance rate is 0.1% of the remaining unminted supply at the time.
Review of Early "Genesis" Mining Mechanism
During the early days of S.Finance's launch, users could earn SFG rewards by participating in liquidity mining, which is also the origin of the "genesis mining" concept. The specific process is as follows:
- Providing Liquidity: Users deposit stablecoins (such as DAI, USDC, USDT, etc.) into the corresponding liquidity pools on S.Finance to receive liquidity provider (LP) tokens representing their share.
- Staking LP Tokens: Stake the obtained LP tokens into designated mining contracts.
- Earning Rewards: Based on the staked share and duration, users not only earn a share of trading fees but also extra SFG tokens as rewards. S.Finance once gained attention for its innovative multi-reward mechanism; for instance, its sUSD pool could simultaneously yield three token rewards: CRV, SNX, and SFG.
This process requires users to connect to the Ethereum mainnet using a Web3 wallet such as MetaMask and pay the corresponding gas fees. The mined SFG token rewards can be withdrawn to a personal wallet.
Current Project Status and Market Condition
According to recent data, the trading market for the SFG token has nearly dried up, lacking active volume. Its price and market capitalization have dropped significantly from their historical highs, and its circulating supply is at an extremely low level. Since its launch in 2020, the project has seen no significant progress in subsequent development and ecosystem building, currently remaining in a low-activity state.
