Pump.fun Co-founder: Following the reform of the creator fee mechanism, the decision on fees may be left to traders
Svmuu News: Alon, co-founder of Pump.fun, posted on X stating that the platform’s Creator Fees mechanism will undergo significant changes. While the current mechanism has been effective for project tokens with well-defined teams, it has over-incentivized the creation of low-risk tokens rather than high-risk trading, and suffers from issues such as a lack of utility and poor user experience. Consequently, the platform will adopt a market-driven approach to reform the system. Moving forward, traders will determine whether a narrative warrants Creator Fees and how those fees should be utilized. Successful tokens are more likely to emerge in an environment that incentivizes traders to participate in the market, provide liquidity, generate trading volume, and assume risk. Further details regarding development plans and the future of the PUMP token will be announced at a later date.
