Survey: 80% of U.S. CEOs Say Donald Trump Pressure Jerome Powell to Cut Interest Rates Is Not in the Best Interest of the United States
Svmuu News: Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, founder of the Yale Center for CEO Leadership, noted that, behind closed doors, U.S. corporate CEOs are “deeply shocked” by the government’s attacks on Federal Reserve.Sonnenfeld and his colleagues found that among the 200 CEOs surveyed, 71% believed Donald Trump the government had eroded Federal Reserve the Fed’s independence, and 80% stated Donald Trump that pressuring Jerome Powell the Fed to cut interest rates was not in the best interests of the United States. And this was even before news broke of the Justice Department’s investigation into Jerome Powell.
