Sichuan: Expanding Provincial "Computing Power Vouchers" and Exploring Policies for "Scenario Vouchers" and "Model Vouchers"
The General Office of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province recently issued the “Implementation Opinions on Further Promoting Innovation and Breakthroughs in the Service Industry.” The document proposes strengthening artificial intelligence infrastructure and securing a leading position in data and information services. It calls for advancing the development of AI datasets and corpora, expanding the provincial “computing power vouchers” program, and exploring the formulation of policies for “scenario vouchers” and “model vouchers.” Scientific data centers will be established. Support will be provided to enterprises or industry alliances to build trusted data spaces and launch exemplary application scenarios for “Data Element ×.” Approved digital application scenario laboratories will be eligible for up to 10 million yuan in funding for digital innovation capacity enhancement projects, awarded on a competitive basis. Establish national and provincial data annotation bases, support the development of public service platforms for data annotation, and provide up to 10 million yuan in funding on a competitive basis. Offer incentives for software products that meet the criteria for first-edition or open-source projects undergoing industrialization.
