Hang Seng Index This morning, the market surged nearly 1%; shortly after the midday session began, it briefly rose more than 1%, but then fluctuated and retreated. The Hang Seng Tech Index performed poorly in the afternoon, fluctuating before turning negative and underperforming the broader market.At the close, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.66% to 26,765.72 points, while the Tech Index fell 0.19% to 5,260.5 points. Hang Seng Index Total market turnover reached HK$236.765 billion (compared to HK$250.992 billion in the previous trading session).In terms of sector performance, rare earths, steel, and non-ferrous metals led the gains, while the commercial space sector showed strength in the afternoon. The semiconductor sector and storage-related stocks saw the largest declines, and the new consumption and AI applications sectors underperformed.Among individual stocks, HSBC Holdings (00005.HK) closed up 5.47% after the company announced midday earnings that exceeded market expectations. Jinli Permanent Magnet (06680.HK) closed up 6.82%, and Longfor Group (00960.HK) closed up 4.60%.Lens Technology (06613.HK) closed up 3.01%, while Mixue Group (02097.HK) closed down 1.93% and Zhipu (02513.HK) closed down 10.75%.
