Guangzhou's land auctions kick off the year with a bang! Yuexiu Property secures the Mafang plot for 23.6 billion yuan
On February 25, the Guangzhou real estate market witnessed a highly anticipated "land auction battle." Following intense bidding, the Mafang site in Guangzhou's Tianhe District was ultimately sold for a total of 23.6 billion yuan, with Yuexiu Property successfully securing the lot at a floor price of 85,000 yuan per square meter. Once the timed bidding phase began, seven real estate developers—Yuexiu, Poly, China Resources, Zhushihui, Guangzhou Metro, Guangjian, and Guangzhou City Investment—took turns bidding, engaging in a fierce battle for the Mafang site. As the bidding rounds continued to escalate, prices soared accordingly. Ultimately, after more than nine hours of intense competition and 243 rounds of bidding, Yuexiu Property successfully secured the plot for a transaction price exceeding 23.6 billion yuan.
