Tether In partnership with Circle, the company is expanding its presence in the South Korean market, possibly in response to local stablecoin regulations
Svmuu News: Stablecoin issuer Tether recently posted several job openings in South Korea, including positions for a PR Manager, Blockchain Researcher, and Government Relations Specialist. Previously, Tether had entered the local market by hiring a South Korean Market Representative, but following that individual’s departure, the company plans to expand its team in South Korea.Industry sources also revealed that Circle has been advancing its business expansion in the region since Circle’s CEO visited South Korea last August. The report noted that South Korea’s upcoming “Digital Asset Framework Act” may require overseas stablecoin issuers to establish branches in the country to distribute tokens in the local market. The recent moves by these companies are seen as preemptive preparations for potential regulatory requirements. (News1)
