Svmuu News: Vitalik Buterin posted on X, stating that the Ethereum’s scaling efforts consist of both short-term and long-term components.In the short term, the Glamsterdam upgrade will introduce block-level access lists to enable parallel validation, ePBS will allow for a higher proportion of time slots to be used for block validation, and gas repricing will ensure that transaction costs align with actual execution time.The multi-dimensional Gas mechanism will be rolled out in phases. First, in Glamsterdam, the cost of “state creation” will be separated from the cost of “execution and calldata,” and state creation Gas will not count toward the approximately 16 million transaction Gas limit.At the EVM level, a “reservoir” dimension mechanism will be introduced, prioritizing the consumption of dedicated dimension Gas by default and drawing from the reservoir when insufficient. This will eventually transition to multi-dimensional pricing, where different dimensions can have varying floating Gas prices. Long-term scalability efforts include two components: ZK-EVM and blob.Regarding blobs, the plan is to continuously iterate on PeerDAS, aiming to achieve a data processing capacity of approximately 8 MB per second. In the future, block data from Ethereum will be stored directly in the blob.Regarding ZK-EVM, implementation will proceed in phases: by 2026, a ZK-EVM-compatible validator client will be available, allowing approximately 5% of the network to rely on it;In 2027, this will be expanded to a larger proportion of a subset of nodes, while formal verification will proceed in parallel; once conditions are ripe, the network will transition to a "3-out-of-5" mandatory proof mechanism. Ultimately, the goal is to continuously enhance the security of ZK-EVM and the level of formal verification, which will also involve VM modifications such as those related to RISC-V.
