Donald Trump Media and technology group considers spinning off TruthSocial for an IPO to prioritize the development of its crypto business
Svmuu News Donald Trump Media and Technology Group announced that it is considering spinning off its social media platform TruthSocial into an independent publicly traded company in order to prioritize cryptocurrency-related businesses in its corporate strategy.The company said it is in discussions with energy fusion startup TAETechnologies and TexasVenturesAcquisitionIII regarding a potential transaction, with the latter set to take control of the TruthSocial platform. The arrangement is based on a merger agreement reached by both parties last December, valuing the transaction at over $6 billion.The plan involves first spinning off a new publicly traded company named SpinCo, which would then merge with TexasVenturesIII. Shares of SpinCo would be distributed to existing shareholders. The company launched its fintech brand, Truth.Fi, in 2025 and established the Bitcoin reserve, which holds over 11,500 BTC.
