French Finance Minister: G7 Requests IEA to Develop Plan for Releasing Oil Reserves
Svmuu News According to reports, the Group of Seven (G7) has requested its primary energy agency to develop contingency plans for releasing emergency oil reserves to address potential market disruptions caused by the Middle East crisis. French Finance Minister Roland Lescure stated to reporters in Paris on Tuesday that the G7 aims to be able to utilize oil reserves when necessary and has requested the International Energy Agency to study the scale of reserves that could be released. France currently holds the rotating presidency of the G7. He added that the International Energy Agency will discuss the relevant procedures at its board meeting later on Tuesday. (Jin10)
