Svmuu News: Cryptoquant analyst Darkfost noted in an article that altcoin trading volumes on Binance and other major exchanges have significantly declined, reflecting a clear reduction in investor interest. Despite the ongoing bear market, altcoins continue to lag significantly behind Bitcoin. Currently, altcoin trading volume on Binance is approximately $7.7 billion, while other major exchanges collectively account for about $18.8 billion. This is a substantial drop from the active trading period between October 2025 and February, when Binance's volume ranged from $40 billion to $50 billion, and other exchanges saw volumes of approximately $63 billion to $91 billion.

Relatively, Binance currently accounts for about 40% of the total altcoin trading volume, meaning almost one out of every two dollars in altcoin trades is executed on its platform. Past trading volume peaks typically occurred during local market highs, associated with FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) phenomena, serving as liquidity windows for investors to cash out.

Darkfost pointed out that despite the unfavorable market conditions, this type of data is still worth monitoring. Historical experience shows that the most attractive investment opportunities often emerge during periods of low market interest when most investors are on the sidelines.
