Israeli Media: Saudi Arabia and UAE "Gradually" Considering Joining Action Against Iran
Svmuu News According to the Times of Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are gradually accelerating their pace and preparing to actively participate in actions against Iran, as the war in the Middle East is posing a threat to the economies of both countries. The report cited information from the Wall Street Journal, stating that after Riyadh allowed the U.S. military to use an airbase within its territory, Gulf countries are "gradually" taking more proactive actions. A source familiar with the relevant decision-making said that Saudi Arabia's decision to join the war is "only a matter of time." Previously, the Saudi Foreign Minister stated last week that the country's tolerance of Iran's attacks is "not without limits." It is reported that last week, four senior officials representing different Gulf capitals told the Times of Israel that, despite initial opposition to the use of force, Gulf countries are currently urging the United States to continue strikes against the Iranian regime to ensure that Iran's military power is sufficiently weakened after the war, so that it no longer poses a threat to them. However, these countries have not yet launched any attacks themselves, as leaders in the Gulf region remain extremely concerned about triggering a broader, uncontrollable large-scale conflict.
