According to BitMart's market observation on April 2, mainstream assets generally performed weakly today. BTC fell back to around $66,000, ETH retreated to near $2,050, and BNB also weakened to around $590. BTC is currently quoted at approximately $66,570, with an intraday high of about $69,170 and a low of about $66,238. ETH is quoted at approximately $2,047.82, with an intraday high of about $2,163.06 and a low of about $2,040.71. BNB is quoted at approximately $588.81, with an intraday high of about $620.96 and a low of about $587.53. Overall, mainstream cryptocurrencies are generally under pressure during the day, and short-term market sentiment remains cautious.
From a technical perspective, BTC retreated from its highs today and fell below the $67,000 level again, indicating that selling pressure above persists. ETH's pullback was relatively significant, and it remains in a phase of renewed pressure after a weak recovery. BNB quickly retreated from above $620 during the session, showing that major altcoins also failed to establish independent strength. The current market appears to be in a rebalancing process after a rebound, with overall capital still adopting a defensive stance.
BitMart X Insight: What is more noteworthy today is the renewed rise in market defensive sentiment. The significant retreat of BTC, ETH, and BNB from their intraday highs indicates that the current market is not lacking in rebound attempts, but rather the capital needed to turn a rebound into a sustained trend. In this environment, capital is more inclined to take profits at highs rather than continuously chase prices. If BTC can subsequently reclaim ground above $67,000, market sentiment is expected to gradually recover; otherwise, short-term weakness and consolidation are likely to persist.
