Israel Instructs Energean to Resume Operations at Karish Gas Platform
Svmuu News According to the Israeli Ministry of Energy on Thursday, following a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran, it has instructed the international oil and gas exploration and production company Energean to begin resuming operations at the Karish gas platform off the coast of Israel in the Mediterranean Sea. The platform has been shut down since February 28 due to security concerns amid the US-Israel-Iran conflict. Energean confirmed it has received notification from the Ministry of Energy, which will allow for the safe restart of its Karish facility and the resumption of production and operations. The company stated it is working in accordance with operational procedures to safely restart production and return to normal operations. Energean's London-listed shares rose 2.4% today. (Jin10)
