Svmuu News: Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reiterated on Wednesday that Arab Gulf states may still face the risk of undersea data cables in the Strait of Hormuz being cut. Tasnim News Agency reported, “If multiple major cables are damaged simultaneously, whether due to accidents or deliberate sabotage, it could trigger severe internet outages in the Persian Gulf. "Multiple cables traverse the Strait of Hormuz. The Gulf region has previously experienced internet outages due to repeated cuts to undersea cables in the Red Sea. Yemen’s Houthi rebels have also previously issued threats regarding the cables. (AP)
