Svmuu reported that a Federal Reserve survey shows cryptocurrency usage in the United States increased in 2025, with approximately 10% of American adults indicating they used or held cryptocurrency during the year, up from 7% in 2024 and marking the highest level since 2022.
The survey indicates that about 7% of American adults hold cryptocurrency as an investment, making investment exposure the largest participation category. The approval and growth of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have contributed to the rebound in retail participation.
Data shows that cryptocurrency adoption is most concentrated among adults under 45 and households with incomes above the national median. Additionally, the role of cryptocurrency in daily consumer payments remains limited, with U.S. consumers primarily viewing it as an investment asset. (financefeeds)
