The institution is authorized to conduct regulated activities of Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 7 (providing automated trading services), and has also been licensed under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance to operate a virtual asset trading platform. As of now, the total number of licensed virtual asset trading platforms in Hong Kong has increased to 13, with 6 applicants for virtual asset trading platform licenses.
