The Israeli military says it will continue to intensify its military operations in Lebanon
Svmuu News: Today (June 14), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement saying that IDF Chief of Staff Zamir, during an inspection of the Northern Command earlier in the day, stated that the IDF would continue its military operations in Lebanon in order to secure more favorable terms in future U.S.-mediated negotiations between Israel and Lebanon. The statement noted that Zamir held a situation assessment meeting that day with division and brigade-level commanders from the IDF’s Northern Command. Zamir stated at the meeting that the current regional situation is “sensitive and complex.” Although Lebanon is currently the IDF’s “core strategic focus,” the IDF remains on high alert for potential developments on other fronts.
