The SEC plans to introduce an exemption for tokenization innovations, but a former SEC lawyer says it will still be difficult to reverse
Svmuu News: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is set to introduce an “innovation exemption” policy for tokenization, but the policy is not expected to be classified at the highest level of the agency’s policy hierarchy. A former SEC attorney noted that the agency’s authority to exempt certain activities from securities laws remains difficult to overturn, though SEC leadership has stated that this initial policy will be narrow in scope and time-limited.
