Svmuu News: On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act by a vote of 358 to 32, following its passage in the Senate by a vote of 85 to 5.The bill, which primarily aims to address housing affordability issues, has now been submitted to U.S. President Donald Trump.
The bill stipulates that the Federal Reserve, may not, directly or indirectly, issue or create a central bank digital currency or any digital asset substantially similar to a central bank digital currency; this provision will expire on December 31, 2030.The bill also establishes an exception for crypto stablecoins, permitting “U.S. dollar-denominated, open, permissionless, and private currencies.” (Cointelegraph)
