With the MiCA Regulation set to take effect, Europe has already issued 230 MiCA crypto licenses
Svmuu News: The MiCA regulation will officially take effect on July 1, 2026. Crypto service providers that have not obtained this license will be unable to offer new services in the EU. To date, a total of 230 MiCA licenses have been issued across Europe, with Germany leading the way with 56, followed by the Netherlands with 26, France with 21, Malta with 15, Cyprus with 13, and Ireland with 12. In France, approximately 40% of regulated crypto service providers had not previously submitted license applications. These heightened compliance requirements have left some smaller, traditional crypto institutions facing the prospect of being acquired or going out of business. (lesechos)
