Chip manufacturers will no longer purchase extremely expensive proprietary “silicon interlayer + ABF substrate” combinations, but will instead shift entirely to purchasing extra-large, multi-layer ABF substrates—or adopt glass substrates earlier when performance demands are directly driven to the substrate level.
