This feature will be gradually expanded to more operating institutions in the future. The Digital Yuan app’s offline payment code feature allows users to generate a payment code via the Digital Yuan app even in environments with no internet connection or weak signal, enabling merchants to scan the code to complete the payment. In situations where an internet connection is unavailable—such as during network outages or when signal strength is weak—the system will automatically switch to generating an offline payment code. No manual settings or additional steps are required; users can present the payment code with a single tap. When using the Digital Yuan app’s offline payment code, users should ensure they have previously enabled the small-amount password-free payment feature; enabling the “top-up on demand” feature in advance will allow payments to be completed even when the balance is insufficient.
