Svmuu News: Project Eleven has launched a new zero-knowledge proof system that provides a recovery method for the quantum-vulnerable BIP-361 Bitcoin—including the Bitcoin held by Satoshi Nakamoto.
The solution leverages the fact that while quantum computers can break elliptic curve signatures, they cannot break the one-way hashes used in modern wallet key derivation, enabling the true owner of the seed material to prove control.
Benchmark tests show that the Project Eleven prototype is significantly faster than previous solutions; however, the prototype has not yet been audited or finalized and requires controversial modifications to blockchain rules before it can protect existing on-chain Bitcoin.
Project Eleven has launched "Bitcoin," a recovery tool for quantum-vulnerable coins; the prototype has not yet been audited.
