The Joint Investigation Team on Voice Phishing Crimes at the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office indicted a total of 471 individuals and detained 169 between July 2025 and May 2026; Compared to the previous three years, the monthly average number of indictments increased by 87%, and the number of detentions rose by 6.7%.
