Svmuu News: Morph has announced the launch of Morph Tachyon, a standalone Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for on-chain trading and high-performance financial markets. Morph stated that existing Ethereum Layer 2 solutions will continue to support payments, stablecoins, and open finance use cases, while Tachyon will provide an infrastructure environment dedicated to trading, further expanding Morph’s on-chain financial ecosystem.
As a standalone Layer 1, Morph Tachyon features its own consensus mechanism and settlement system, with a target block time of 200 milliseconds and a maximum throughput of 200,000 transactions per second. It supports instant finality, a gas-free trading experience, and an EVM-compatible development environment.
Morph stated that the decentralized perpetual futures trading platform PopDEX will build its trading infrastructure on Tachyon, and the two parties will collaborate to advance the development of high-performance trading scenarios in areas such as on-chain derivatives, liquidity, and capital efficiency.
