Hyperinsight monitoring shows that the previously tracked “U.S. Stock Market Big Winner " has heavily positioned itself during this rally, starting from a zero position at 1:29 p.m. today and purchasing 22,910.2 contracts through 5,380 trades by 4:50 p.m.,at an average price of $1,548.2; combined with existing pending orders, the plan is to build a position worth $90 million.
As of press time, the SNDK contract is trading at $1,554.8.This whale is holding the aforementioned long positions with 6x isolated margin, with a position value of approximately $35.6116 million, a liquidation price of $1,357.4, and an unrealized profit of approximately $141,800.
Given the timing, the whale may be betting on both a continued rebound from the storage sector’s oversold conditions and expectations ahead of the August 5 earnings report; recent catalysts also include the start of sample shipments for the 10th-generation 3D NAND (BiCS10) and the Investor Day on August 13.
In addition, this “whale” currently has the following open orders for SanDisk and Micron:
- SanDisk buy orders: 22 orders, priced between $1,520 and $1,546.4, totaling 35,312.2 contracts, with an order value of approximately $54.5709 million.If all orders are filled, its SNDK long position will increase to approximately 58,222 shares, representing a total investment of about $90.04 million;
- SanDisk sell orders: 2 orders, priced between $1,668.4 and $1,671.5, totaling 362.1 contracts, covering only about 1.6% of the current long position, offering limited protection for profit-taking;
- Micron sell orders: 45 orders, priced between $996 and $1,018.7, totaling 9,374.218 contracts, with an order value of approximately $9.419 million; once executed, these will open short positions at high prices.
This address belongs to a high-frequency swing-trading whale that has previously rotated primarily among SanDisk, Micron, Western Digital, the DRAM Index, Intel, and SPCX. Realized gains are concentrated in Intel, Micron, and Western Digital, with cumulative profits exceeding $16.2 million over the past two months.
