Svmuu News: Citrini analyst jukan posted on X, noting that bearish views and rumors regarding NAND appear to be circulating recently, particularly from China, along with negative news related to QLC price negotiations. He stated that it comes as no surprise that SanDisk signed a long-term agreement with Meta at a price lower than the initial quote. Among NAND manufacturers, SanDisk has been the most proactive in securing long-term agreements and plans to allocate more than 50% of its total shipments to such agreements.
Based on this strategy, SanDisk is clearly willing to accept long-term agreement pricing below the current quarterly contract price. Therefore, the source believes it cannot be inferred from this that SanDisk is unable to successfully shift its entire shipment volume to North American customers offering higher prices. Chinese module manufacturers have reportedly been rejected when attempting to sell more enterprise-grade SSDs to Chinese CSPs; the source understands this is because Chinese CSPs have direct procurement channels with YMTC. Recent reports also indicate that hyperscale cloud service providers are driving down prices for QLC enterprise-grade SSDs, resulting in some shipments remaining unsold. However, it is understood that Neocloud suppliers have sufficient demand to absorb these shipments. With storage stocks underperforming, negative headlines appear to be garnering more attention. It remains bullish on the storage sector.
