Approximately 72% of S&P 500 stocks are now above their 200-day moving average, marking the strongest market breadth since December 2024.

Investors are reportedly rotating out of AI-related bets and into sectors such as software, financials, industrials, healthcare, and consumer discretionary. This shift, coupled with resilient economic data, expectations for Federal Reserve rate cuts, and robust corporate profit growth, has supported the broader market. Charles Schwab strategist Kevin Gordon noted that the market's current state is more rotational than correctional, and he does not interpret the chip sell-off as a negative economic signal.
