On July 27, U.S. space exploration company Rocket Lab announced that it had signed a $266 million contract with the U.S. Space Force’s Rocket Systems Launch Program. The contract covers 12 suborbital missions, with an option to add up to six more, and will primarily be conducted from the new launch site in Kodiak, Alaska. This is Rocket Lab’s largest launch contract to date and further strengthens its relationship with the U.S. government.
