Nvidia Reportedly Identified as Unnamed Tenant for Hut 8's $19.6 Billion AI Data Center Leases
Nvidia Corp. has reportedly been identified as the previously unnamed customer for Hut 8 Corp.'s Beacon Point data center leases in Texas. The Financial Times reported on July 28, citing sources, that Nvidia is the tenant for the 15-year leases, which cover 704 megawatts of IT capacity and have a base-term contract value of $19.6 billion. Hut 8 previously secured $4.25 billion in financing for the project. Nvidia could potentially use this capacity to deploy its AI systems or sublease to partners.
