US Mortgage Rates on August 1: 30-Year Fixed Rises 10 Bps to 6.65%, 5/1 ARM Up 23 Bps to 6.65%
According to average rates from the Zillow lender marketplace, US mortgage rates were mostly higher on Saturday, August 1, 2026, compared to Friday. The 30-year fixed rate increased by 10 basis points to 6.65%, and the 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) rose by 23 basis points to 6.65%. Meanwhile, the 15-year fixed rate saw a slight decrease of 2 basis points, settling at 6.01%.
