JPMorgan Chase It was previously predicted that the XRP ETF would see inflows of up to $8 billion in its first year, but inflows have so far totaled only $1.51 billion, with the value of holdings falling short of $1 billion.
JPMorgan Chase Standard Chartered Bank had previously predicted that an XRP spot ETF would attract $4 billion to $8 billion in inflows during its first year following its launch in 2025. However, since its launch in November 2025, the XRP ETF has seen cumulative inflows of only $1.51 billion. As the price of XRP has fallen by more than half, the current value of these ETFs’ holdings has dropped to $988.78 million. Analysts point out that the main reasons for the lower-than-expected inflows include the sharp decline in the price of XRP, the overall bearish market conditions, and lingering regulatory uncertainties regarding XRP among institutional investors.Stalled progress on the CLARITY Act—which aims to classify XRP as a commodity under federal law—has also hindered large-scale institutional capital inflows, leading institutional investors (such as Goldman Sachs) to completely exit their XRP ETF positions in the first quarter.
