AngloGold Ashanti reports Q2 2026 headline earnings rose 58% to $1bn, driven by a 35% increase in average gold price to $4,446/oz.
The gold miner's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 46% year-on-year to $2bn, with free cash flow increasing 36% to $727m. The company declared an interim dividend of $364m ($0.72 per share). Gold production for the quarter declined to 744,000oz from 804,000oz in 2025 due to a mine sale and maintenance, but AngloGold Ashanti expects production to increase in the second half of 2026.
