UBS downgraded NXP (NXPI) from Buy to Neutral and lowered its price target from $305 to $270, citing risks of an automotive inventory correction in China and limited AI data center exposure.
UBS noted that NXP derives 17% of its revenue from China and 55% from the automotive market, facing potential risks from a correction in China's automotive inventory. Furthermore, NXP's exposure to AI infrastructure is relatively limited, with AI infrastructure revenue expected to exceed $500 million in 2026, accounting for approximately 3% of group sales, while major competitors are projected to exceed $1 billion. UBS has therefore lowered its earnings forecasts for NXP by 5% to 9% for the period 2026-2030.
