Robinhood has launched an IPO for its second venture fund, Robinhood Ventures Fund II, aiming to raise up to $200 million. The fund is designed to allow retail investors to invest in early-stage private companies and is scheduled to list on the NYSE on August 13 under the ticker RVII, with shares priced at $25 each.
Robinhood Ventures Fund II will operate as a business development company (BDC), with an offering of up to 8 million shares, of which 400,000 shares will be sold by Robinhood. Starting this Monday, Robinhood Financial customers can apply for IPO shares through its platform, with the application period expected to end on August 12. The fund currently holds 80 private companies, primarily investing in Y Combinator startup accelerator projects or companies whose founders have participated in Y Combinator. There are no qualification requirements or minimum investment thresholds for this offering. Goldman Sachs is serving as the lead book-running manager for this offering, with Citi, JPMorgan Chase, UBS Investment Bank, and Wells Fargo Securities acting as joint book-running managers.
