DeItaone quoted Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser as saying that the war in Iran has led to a reduction of 2.6 billion barrels in global crude oil supply, and traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has dropped to 10% of pre-war levels, with over 100 million barrels of supply lost weekly. Even if immediately reopened, it would take 18 months to rebuild inventories.
Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said any major refinery outage would further tighten energy markets, which are already operating with very limited refining capacity.
