The initiative aims to test how Mastercard's Crypto Credential framework can support verified interactions in stablecoin transactions, integrating standardized assurance signals into compliance and risk processes. Participating firms Infinia, Walapay, and Koywe will be among the first to use the framework. This pilot is part of Mastercard's broader stablecoin expansion, following its recent acquisition of stablecoin infrastructure firm BVNK and the rollout of regulated stablecoin settlement support for assets like USDC, PYUSD, and RLUSD.
