Kraken significantly improved platform stability, reducing peak failure rates from 11% to 0.111% while handling over 10 times the load
The cryptocurrency exchange stated that following platform issues during a Bitcoin rally in July 2025 and a token offering, it implemented "war games"—full-scale load tests simulating at least twice its heaviest historical load. This initiative, carried out between July 2025 and June 2026, enabled the platform to sustain over 230,000 successful requests per second and maintain stability during a sharp crypto selloff on February 5, 2026. Kraken confirmed the 2x load standard is now permanent, continuously rising with new client activity records.
