Coinbase rolls out derivatives for UK professional investors, including perpetuals, futures, and crypto options with up to 50x leverage
Coinbase announced the launch of a suite of derivatives products for eligible UK professional clients, following its recently obtained MiFID license. The offering, which will become progressively available over the coming weeks, covers over 170 contracts across crypto, commodities, equities, and foreign exchange. Perpetual contracts will offer up to 50x leverage, while dated futures will provide up to 20x leverage. The crypto options offering will include calls, puts, and multi-leg strategies. This expansion is part of Coinbase's broader "Everything Exchange" strategy in the UK.
