Coinbase secures regulatory approval from Abu Dhabi to offer tokenized securities, establishing its international tokenization hub there
The crypto exchange announced on Tuesday that it received Financial Services Permission from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This approval allows Coinbase to arrange investment deals and provide custody for tokenized securities, which will be registered and issued in ADGM under FSRA oversight. The move positions Abu Dhabi as a key base for Coinbase to bring traditional securities onchain outside the U.S., leveraging the emirate's push into onchain finance.
