According to Yahoo Finance analysis, MicroStrategy (MSTR), led by Michael Saylor, has spent nearly $64 billion to purchase Bitcoin at an average cost of $75,482 per coin. Given the current Bitcoin price of approximately $65,000, its holdings of 840,447 Bitcoin are currently valued at about $54 billion, resulting in a $10 billion book loss for the company. MicroStrategy has paused Bitcoin purchases and announced a new capital management plan, which includes the possibility of selling Bitcoin for operational purposes, a move that contradicts its previous commitment not to sell Bitcoin. Year-to-date, MicroStrategy's stock price has fallen by 35%, while Bitcoin has dropped by 25% during the same period.
