MicroStrategy Sells 1,690 Bitcoin for $108.6 Million Last Week, Marking Second Consecutive Week of Sales
MicroStrategy (MSTR), led by Michael Saylor, sold 1,690比特币 for $108.6 million last week at an average price of $64,262, according to an 8-K filing on Monday. This marks the second consecutive week the company has sold Bitcoin, trimming its holdings to 840,447 coins. The sales were made at a loss, as the average cost basis for its Bitcoin is $75,385. The proceeds were used to buy back MicroStrategy's preferred stock (STRC). Additionally, MicroStrategy sold $653.1 million of its common stock, more than double the prior week, bringing its cash reserves to $4.65 billion.
