SEG Solar has launched its second photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing facility in the Greater Houston area of Texas, expanding its total production capacity in the United States to 6GW per year. The new facility, named Tomball #1, represents a $200 million investment and spans over 500,000 square feet, making it the company's largest module manufacturing base in the U.S. and one of the largest HJT module manufacturing facilities in the country. The factory has an annual production capacity of 4GW and is expected to commence commercial operations in the third quarter of this year. SEG Solar also plans to build a third U.S. HJT module manufacturing facility and a U.S. cell manufacturing facility to establish a more complete domestic supply chain.
