Oklo's stock price fell by 25.8% in July, wiping out approximately 80% of its market capitalization since its peak in October 2025. The company's net loss doubled in the second quarter to $48.5 million, with earnings per share of $0.28, significantly missing analyst expectations. Furthermore, Oklo raised its full-year cash usage guidance, now expecting operating activities to consume $120 million to $150 million and capital expenditures to be $400 million to $500 million, both higher than previous targets. Previously, Oklo failed to achieve criticality for its first reactor by the scheduled date of July 4, but did achieve first criticality at its Groves Isotope Test Reactor on August 6. Truist Securities has lowered its price target for the stock from $55 to $51. Oklo expects its first Aurora power plant to be operational as early as 2028, calling this goal "ambitious."
