The Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) is proposing to transport Basrah and other crude to refiners in Asia. This strategy involves vessels making short trips, often with their transponders turned off to avoid detection, before transferring cargoes to other ships just outside the Persian Gulf.
